A Halifax Mooseheads hockey jersey, signed by the members of the 2005-2006 season team, was framed in this shadow box along with other Moosehead hockey related items... a hockey puck, foam finger, season ticket holder stubs, and team photo.

The jersey was mounted with an archival matboard form inside to help hold its shape and a combination of hand-stitching and nylon tags were used to attach it to the background mat board.

The words "This is...Moose Country" were cut out from a poster and mounted to the background mat board in to fill up some of the extra space around the hockey puck. The team photo was matted and 'framed' by reverse cutting a black fillet and attaching it to the outside of the mat. The framed photo was then float mounted above the jersey by glueing it to a layer of archival foamcore which had been attached to the jersey with nylon tags and some hand stitches so as not to harm the jersey.

The jersey was framed with a triple mat combination; a black top mat and red and green sub-mats to coincide with the colours of the jersey. Tru Vue conservation clear glass, which provides 99% UV protection, was chosen as the glazing in order to help slow down any fading of the jersey and team signatures.
